I’ve inadvertently stumbled down a Bobbi Brown rabbit hole and found her online ‘archive’, which is a kind of blog. I feel it’s about time for another Bobbi Brown book…
Anyway, I love this story…
“One day, out of the blue, a girl walked into my then studio and dropped off a bag and asked the team to give it to me. I’ll never forget opening it and pulling out this cool, vintage makeup kit and reading the note. It was Frank Sinatra’s make-up kit.
“When I finished reading, I learned that it was a gift from the daughter of Frank’s New Jersey make-up artist, that always did his make-up when he had any performances in New York or New Jersey.”
What a lovely gesture and I can totally smell the smell of that oblong blush compact. Click here to read more and to see the rest of the contents. And props to whoever is in charge of editing Bobbi’s blog! (P.S, if you enjoyed that story, don’t miss this classic from my archive about Lisa Eldridge and Audrey Hepburn’s lipstick…)
