Martyn Thompson Interiors
After my trip to the Saatchi for the Hermes Festival Des Metiers press preview, I nipped into Anthropologie for a quick browse. That’s a lie of course. There’s nothing quick about an ‘Anthro’ browse. I was there for the best part of an hour, upending every cup and plate and inspecting every book.
I left with Martyn Thompson’s Interiors, a gem of a photobook, with painterly, atmospheric interiors that are so different to the white-everything minimalist interiors that are common on blogs and Pinterest these days.
Although some of these images must be quite old, they have stood the test of time with their warm shabbiness and rich details. There are some stunning landscapes too…

Oh nice book. I like Martyn Thompson – he’s a friend of someone I used to work with.
