IT’s OPEN! Harvey Nichols and Lula’s pop-up shop

When Harvey Nichols announced its rejigging of the fourth floor in January, I was full of hope. Its press blurb promised a ‘concept store feel’ with exhibitions, installations and constantly evolving product lines. Well so far it’s nice enough but I wouldn’t call it constantly evolving. Always looks the same to me. Anyhoo, they have now done some of this ‘evolving’ and popped in a wee pop-up shop to celebrate Lula magazine’s 5th birthday. I’m a big fan of curated corners in stores but it has to be the right fit and this one is. Lula’s Leith Clark has cherry-picked her favourites designers and friends and played shop with all their lovely product. Enter exclusive products from the likes of Miu Miu, Charles Anastase, Sonia Rykiel, Erdem, Lover and Rodarte. Even better, Chanel has ‘created a special treat for all those who make a purchase’, according to the press release. Ooh.

The treats aren’t only for those able to reach the London store. The experience has also been thoughtfully replicated online – but click quickly, those reissued-from-2006 Miu Mius aren’t likely to stick around for long…
