Elle Collections – the beauty edit?

For some strange reason I have spent a lot of time writing about beauty recently. Not here so much but in the real world. I’m not a beauty writer by any stretch of the imagination but I’ve found myself taking an interest in beauty trends since they have become such a big part of the fashion show extravaganza.

Looking at Susie Bubble’s surreal nail prints (above) immediately made me think of Elle Collections which has for the last few seasons featured eye-popping full-bleed pages of some of the most showstopping designers’ prints…

Now that anyone and everyone observes and opines on the clothes during Fashion Month, is it not time to expand on the beauty coverage?* Into the Gloss does this brilliantly but they’re one of the only beauty blogs that goes into detail. Maybe it’s time for an indepth Elle Collections-type publication to tell the beauty stories or how about a brand extension – Elle Collections: The Beauty Edit! I for one would totally fork out for a mag that proffered designer-endorsed printed nail transfers within its pages. Wouldn’t you?

*Yes I know I just said it was all too much information, but I’m addicted so what to do?
