Uniqlo by numbers
A Uniqlo party is always a good place for a spot of people-watching and last night’s bash at Somerset House was wall-to-wall photo-ops. Ponystep provided the music and guest-list, so aside from the usual suspects (hello Henry Holland and Jodie Harsh!), we had Stephen Jones, Andrew Logan and Duggie Fields representing the oldie-but-goodie generation.
Style-wise, the check shirt count was very high, so if you thought plaid was off-trend you’d be wise to reconsider. Also in attendance were:
Baseball jackets x 5
Barbie carrier bags x 10 (containing Barbie dolls gifted at the Dover Street Market do from whence they had they come)
Barbie leggings x 1
Chanel bags x 4
Bow ties x 5
Crazy-colour hair-dos x 5
Don’t miss the lace sockettes!
Loving Andrew Logan’s bumbag!
Very nice to see Mrs-Ponystep-AKA-Pippa-Brooks-AKA-Madame-from-Madame-Says working the DJ booth. Rock on Tommy!
Update:
My good friend Alison of Bish Shops sent me this excellent shot of a couple of dapper dandies. Love it! That takes the bow-tie total to 7.

This style ‘in attendance’ list is fun. Good idea.
And wow at the Rodarte sweater/dress. Looks cheap but divine.

That looks like it’s so much fun. But the fact that there was so much plaid means the trend has reached its peak and is on a decline.

Contact lens disaster prevented me from going to this! Been catching up on your press day reports…how do you get to them all? I found doing three a day was bad enough going back and forth between the office….
