Finally! Luxury market to embrace social media
“As marketing through social media moves to the forefront for many businesses, I think a lot of luxury brands are now saying, ‘How do we get ourselves on Twitter? Do we really want to be there? Does that cheapen us?’ Brands need to figure out a way to still be exclusive within the social media platforms, because it’s an enormous marketing opportunity.”

Is there a direct correlation between the economy and the sudden plebian friendliness?
One will often find with "exclusive" brands, that they are just as financially astute as they are lofty.

In my experience of online marketing, luxury brands just don't understand digital opportunities at all so I'm not sure how they'll get on with twitter. I can't wait to read the results though!
