Dilemma
Is it so wrong that I prefer the new SS09 Mulberry mens totes (utterly understated in luxe canvas/leather mixes) to the ladylike squashy Bayswater clutch?

Oooh I love the red one the most, but really like the green one too.

Sometimes guy things (sweaters, shirts) are so much more comfortable then girls. It is no problem to like a guys tote better then a girls purse. I believe I would like that more too.

Yeah, I’m with you – I much prefer the solid utilitarian style of the men’s bags.
The squashy Bayswater is a bit blah and boring.
Hmmm … I didn’t mean to come out all alliterative there. xx

I fall for a canvas/leather mix everytime. It means you can wear it with leather boots and jacket without looking like a walking animal hide.
I love this one at the Tate:

I have always preferred the more pared down male versions of bags, yet they are often much harder to track down. The other draw back is they are often quite heavy before you have put so much as a lippy in!Hence my obsession with Manadarina Duck as they are so light.
Another fab male product I have discovered is Chanel Allure Pour Homme Sport, it smell divine.
V. Jealous of your Peter Beard book, I saw it in an amazing book shop in Cologne, like you I am always stunned at how much he can churm out, a lot of his work is on a large scale as well.
My poor Lumix languishes sans any case at all!

The black one is gorgeous!

Well, if someone lays the Bayswater clutch on you, feel free to send it my way. ;)

Oh no the totes are so lovely – the clutch well whatever!

That clutch is actually pretty cute and smooshy-looking.
