D & G in ‘quite nice collection’ shock!
I’ve only just managed to start trawling through the hundreds of catwalk pictures on Vogue.com from the recent spring-summer 08 shows and…what’s this…good-taste clothes from D & G? The show presents a decidedly cool summer student look, all layered sweatshirts with pushed-up sleeves, seventies denim, ethereal dresses and gladiator sandals, a far cry from the usual in-ya-face racy fare we expect from Vicky Beckham’s favourite Latin twosome. Combined with the minimalist make-up and straight good-girl hair, this collection could almost have come from the wholesome runway of Chloe in the Phobe Philo days.

Phewww, the thought an Anderson Coppola union gives me an excited headache!
Like you, I’m only just making my way through the photos, I’ve felt a little overwhelmed by the fashion weeks this year, and not quite ready to think about spring yet…
Dolce and Gabbana’s SS07 collection with science goggles, sleek pony tails and metallic bodice dresses made me see them in a different light and love the tackiness!
Agree about the Philo-esque nature. And the seventies will certainly be the decade being channelled come 08.

How odd. Thanks for posting this because I don’t think I would have even clicked on a link to view their show. I like outfit #1 especially but isn’t it strange…the clothes say one thing and the catwalk something different…

D&G is taking a whole new direction. You’ll find more clever designs and more hip detail going foward. Savvy & mature for for all!

Hey DRG… truly baffling. Is there something wrong with the guys? Should someone go and check on them to see if their high is coming down?

I’m actually wondering what’s up with those two…first the absolutely gorgeous mainline SS08 collection (so not like their usual), and now this?
What on earth will their adverts look like without the in-your-face sexiness of the clothes?
