Can The Impossible Project save Polaroid?
Just finished reading an article in the FT magazine on The Impossible Project, an inspiring attempt by some former Polaroid workers to save the iconic Polaroid film. Some of these workers had worked at Polaroid for twenty or thirty-odd years before being made redundant and are passionate about saving it before the year is out. They need to complete their mission by 2010 and time is of the essence. If you want to help them with their mission impossible, check out the site here.
The reporter, Tim Bradshaw has posted some of his own poignant photographs of the Polaroid factory on his Flickr site.

I think Howies were doing something similar on their site too – trying to save Polaroids. I hope they can be saved.

Oooo I read that too! I actually think that the popularity of polaroids increased VERY quickly last year once people heard that the factory was closing down- there was a revival amongst the younger "digital" generation who had never used polaroid before.
