Top tip
I love this tip in UK Elle from shoemaker Georgina Goodman:
“Every six months I put all the things I haven’t worn in a box and get out the box from the six months before. It’s like having a whole new wardrobe.”

or another thing, buy a couple of amazing end of season staples and then stash them away. my favorite is to load up on cashmere sweaters, scarves, gloves, and one amazing winter tote—but all bought in the summer during the sales–and then stash them away and leave myself a note on my calendar to open them up during the winter. amazing :-)
love,
danny

I don’t really have a permanent home so have boxes of clothes in various family members homes and when I go through my things I discover so many nice clothes that I have forgotten about, it’s great!

This is one tip I swear by. I put them away by season, (same with my wardrobe too)that way things aren’t overcrowded in there. And like dannydaily, I too purchase things out of season and hide them away for myself. It is so much fun and often the rediscovery of these items jump-starts your creativity.

what a fabulous idea! i think i do this in my own way already, but this sounds a bit more organized and planned out!

I’m such a hoarder, I find it *so* hard to part with shoes and clothes. I always come across something I’ve not worn for months and start seeing it through fresh eyes and rock it in a completely different way. I think sometimes it hard to see an item’s proper potential

Sheer brilliance. I tend to just purge, but this is far better. Gives those long-ignored pieces a second chance!
