Micro-trend: Get ready for the Gap scarf-shoe
So you liked the Prada Resort scarf-shoe but thought it was a one-off? Nay, nay and thrice nay – the blighters are all over the ss10 press days! Brian Atwood’s are a froth-fest of chiffon and I wouldn’t be surprised to see them coddling Carrie Bradshaw’s ankles in the next SATC movie.
Rupert Sanderson’s are a tad more casual and give a nod to the actually-quite-scary clog trend.
Gap’s interpretation is a muted bandana print on a nude cork wedge. The next few days see press days from Asos, River Island, Warehouse, Urban Outfitters and M & S, wonder how many more scarf-shoes will show up?

A pretty trend, but dangerous on escalators…

I love the look of these, but always wonder how long it would take for me to sprain my ankles wearing them!

they're so sweet! initially I thought they might be a bit hard to wear, but then as long as they're on tight I don't see why! It's so floaty feminine, red lips and a mouret/beckham dress and away we gooo…. p.s. thanks for my very encouraging first comment!xx

Omg! I bought an amazing pair of scarf shoes from Henry Alavez, a Sao Paulo based designer, last year. They're so fabulous, I wore them all summer. I'd never seen this style before and wondered when someone would catch onto the trend. The best thing is you can change the scarves to match your outfit.

I like this trend, the shoes have a pretty, elegant feel. I have the most lovely pair of Louboutin wedges, but they're a little trickier than most shoes to fit into an outfit. It's a tad hard to find stuff to go with ankle tied shoes while still keeping it flattering. Though of course supermodels and Carrie Bradshaw will probably find this a little less troublesome!

I've always liked that kind of shoes… I can imagine they'll be everywhere this summer (especially Zara). I'll make sure I get one fabulous pair, though!
