These Trademark AW16 look book pictures are giving me flashbacks to my German au pair Uschi (she of the classic Vuitton shoulder bags). It’s partly the model and partly the combo of flares, mules and sensible polonecks. OK, I’ll pass on the flares (not with my diminutive proportions) and you know how I feel about mules, but there are so many other things to love in this collection.
For starters, yes please to the wrap-over quilted jacket with its cute
but maddeningly impractical tie-up sleeves. And I would be overjoyed too in the pinafore dress and blue shirt arrangement (but I’d switch the mules for riding boots). Coats are a big strength of Trademark; this orange shearling is an uplifting option for the dreariest of winter days. And you can’t fault the practicality of a shiny vinyl-look trench coat, especially one with supersized seventies pockets…
