It’s official; Covent Garden has become London’s Beauty Quarter when it comes to stores. Luxury brands Chanel, Dior and Burberry all opened mini beauty flagships here in the last couple of years while Marc Jacobs followed recently with its Tweet Shop pop-up. Now prestige beauty brands Clinique and Bobbi Brown (above) are experimenting with new, highly personal store concepts. (more…)



Eye candy: Clinique Chubby Stick Shadow Tint For Eyes




British Beauty Blogger is reporting on the Spring colours for Clinique’s Chubby Stick Shadow Tint For Eyes. The colours and formulations certainly look appealing (not enough people do cream shadows) but I’m most entranced by the campaign photos. How pretty! If they’re actually packaged like this, I think they’ll sell a ton more…

I really need to hurry up and get my hands on the Thakoon for Nars nail collection. Inspired by Indian festivals (when is Tim Walker going to do a Holi-themed shoot?), there are six of these searing bright colours to try. LANCOME HYPNOSE DRAMA MASCARA AND BI-FACIL EYE MAKE-UP REMOVER

I have to say, Glossybox is coming up with the goods month after month. As I wrote in a post for Glamour a while ago, the main pull for me is the practicality of all these miniature products. My March Glossybox was a Harrods special containing goodies from Shu Uemura, SKII, Molton Brown, Clarins, a Valentino fragrance sample and a miniature Lancome Hypnose Drama mascara. I admit I’m not fussy about mascaras but I do love this mini Lancome one with its wavy brush. On a separate note, I’ve also just started using Lancome Bi-facil eye makeup remover. (more…)
