Spring is properly here, so it’s off with the coats and on with the T-shirts. LOL April Fool! Alas no, it’s still pretty chilly in NW10, so my Spring trend report is leaning a little towards knits and waterproofs for another few weeks. But amongst the leather outerwear and aristo-inspired Barbours and barn jackets, there are skin-baring T-bar shoes, shiny, happy tinted lip oils and molto pops of primary colour (the Italians do it better). Still a bit gutted that Hedi didn’t end up at Chanel. Ah well, Celine’s gain. Nothing crazy new to see here but his brand of retro-modernism for Winter 24 (just teased in a film) looks contemporary and cool – yet surprisingly un-grungy – in the way only Hedi’s can. (more…)

ICYMI, the biggest buzz of fashion month is all about the return of Phoebe Philo. It has barely started and her new brand doesn’t launch until September, yet we can be certain this will be the topic du jour for the next four weeks.
