Quote of the day
“Essex is very on trend at the moment, isn’t it? It’s Essex chic. I can see it translating up north and in the rest of the country.”

This comment is so offensive, “I can see it relating up North.” In other words speaking for some equally as vile liverpudlian/ newcastle style offensives, just heap the whole country into one tacky pile, buyer for HOF.

Ouch, that comment certainly hit a nerve…Rita, ‘Essex chic’ refers to girls from Essex on the outskirts of London who have a particular style but in this case, more specifically to a popular TV series called The Only Way Is Essex. These two stars have brought out a clothing range which is being sold in House of Fraser stores. The ‘Essex’ style is not generally thought of as aspirational, but the buyer knows it will appeal to a certain customer who might aspire to be like these TV stars.
