I think I can smell summer…

NARS Monoi Body Glow I bronzing body oil

I’m seriously getting into the NARS Tahiti Bronze range, specifically, the Monoi Body Glow bronzing oil (£44.00). This chocolate-coloured oil is everything: a subtle body bronzer, a moisturising oil and a delicious tropical scent that lingers all day. Of course there’s a ton of similar products out there but the nuances in this are what work for me. The oil looks dark in the bottle but is really easy and quick to blend into something very natural looking. There’s just the right amount of subtle shimmer and the fragrance is both sweet and floral but not at all overpowering.

The other parts of the range that I’ve tried include the NARS Liquid Bronzer in Laguna (£26.50) and the NARS Monoi Body Glow II (£44). The bronzer is great for adding to foundation if you’re still a bit pale. I find the idea of wearing full on bronzer when it’s only just spring a bit too weird so I like the idea of a gentle suggestion of it. The Monoi Body Glow II oil gives you the oil and beautiful frangipani-infused scent without the bronzer. You can use this as a body moisturiser and massage oil, or just to add some sheen to your limbs and shoulders.

If I was nit-picking I’d prefer the bottle to have a spray nozzle rather than this screw top, but often the nozzles on these oils deliver a dribble rather than a mist, which isn’t ideal either! Can I also mention how stupidly thrilled I was at receiving my NARS samples in My First Ever L.L. Bean Tote? It’s the small things, right…?

Also pictured: a few other it’s-almost-summer faves, including my Bobbi Brown Extra Lip Tint in bare pink (meh, sold out), Chanel Illusion D’Ombre in 116 Rouge-Gorge, Aesop Rind Concentrate Body Balm and my Cutler & Gross ‘aviator blue’ sunnies.
