Nail news: Michael Kors, Eva Chen, L’Oreal vending machines, Burberry, Revlon, Balmain

MICHAEL KORS NAIL COLOURS ARE HERE
Michael-Kors-nail polish

The much awaited Michael Kors Make-up has finally found its way over here. Building on his famous aesthetic, the make-up line follows three strict personality traits; sexy, sporty and glam. But really it’s all about the glam, judging by the statuesque gold packaging. The colour palette is super-tight so nail-wise there are just six shades to choose from. I love the latte-toned neutral called Hint, it’s a delicious uptown honey tone, for days when you want to look groomed but understated. For the full-on wow factor there’s an orange-red called Sensation, a vibrant fuchsia called Scandal and a rich violet called Envy. Add to that, Desire (a vampy deep prune) and Gossip (milky white) and you have a perfectly pitched capsule collection of wearable shades. The Michael Kors nail colours cost £15 each are available exclusively at House of Fraser.

If, like Eva Chen, you like to do your nails on the go, then here’s help. In New York, L’Oreal has installed a makeup vending machine in the 42nd Street/Bryant Park subway station selling nail polish, lip products and mascara. In situ til the end of December, L’Oréal’s “Intelligent Color Experience,” features an interactive mirror that suggests products to match or clash with your outfit. What fun!

BURBERRY’S SUPER-LUXE BASICS
Burberry-Nail-Polish-Oxblood
Is this not the most seductive shade of blood red you’ve ever seen? It’s from Burberry’s new nail polish line and it’s called ‘Oxblood‘ – part of a range of seventeen shades that tick the year-round neutrals box (think immaculate reds, pinky nudes and several shades of stormy grey). Burberry is pushing hard with its beauty offer. These polishes cost £15 and are formulated with patent-pending technology. We’re promised that a two coat application dries in under two minutes with a protective and long lasting high gloss finish. But apart from all that, the colours are just perfect.
