At Cartier’s launch for its new Declaration d’un Soir men’s fragrance yesterday (on sale October), I met in-house ‘nose’ Mathilde Laurent, a self proclaimed neo punk. “I like to listen to The Cure and Siouxie and the Banshees really really loudly in the office!” she revealed when discussing how she goes about her working day. With her two-tone hair, smoky eyes and Angela Hubel rings, Laurent was as intriguing as the rosy-peppery-sandalwood fragrance she spent a year creating.
