French fancies
No reason for this post other than to add to my stock of style eye candy. Rather disconcertingly they seem to be getting younger every day. I finally bought the spring/summer Self Service mag (mag? It’s more of a book now in its ridiculous hard cover format) after months of baulking at the price (“£16! I’ll buy it next week…”) and inside spotted the fabbest shoot featuring French girl band Plastiscines. Check out the video for Loser at www.plastiscines-music.com.
Style.com’s blog has a post on the new wave of cool French punk-inspired bands including Second Sex. Haven’t checked out their music yet but it transpires they’re part of a group of French bands playing at The Dirty Water Club in Tufnell Park on September 7th.I’m so there…

I’ve listened to a couple of tracks by the Plasticines, and I’d love to say I like them, purely because of their image (!), but I’ve resigned myself to the fact that I’m more of a Teenagers person.

Arghhh, keep missing your posts, I swear I have been so busy lately. Can’t remember if I asked, but did you get to go to Underage in the end?

Hey guys, thanks for the comments. Discothequechic, no I didn’t go in the end cos my press passes didn’t come through and I couldn’t buy a ticket cos I’m overage (doh!). Wish I could’ve gone, it sounded fab. Next year…

oo i loved that shoot too, those guys are super cute hehe
and glad someone else has read how to lose friends… too! actually there isn’t a female lead to tell you the truth, i’m a bit confused as to who kiki is playing- b/c apparently she is alison olson, a vanity fair journalist. and that is totally confusing b/c
a-there are no real lead female VF journalists
b- toby never romances a journalist anyway
c-his only true love interest in the book is caroline who is british
d- most of kiki’s scenes seem to have been shot in england- so is playing a brit or are they shifting the story?
my overall guess though? she is probably toby’s love interest, and for the sake of covenience and storytelling she probably is a VF journalist. i remember toby young saying it was difficult to adapt and took liberties soo
