Today’s the day. Frédéric Malle’s Alber Elbaz fragrance, Superstitious has arrived at Liberty. After Dries van Noten (still my ultimate fave from my fragrance ‘wardrobe’), this is only Malle’s second designer perfume.
If you’re stuck for a Mother’s Day gift (Mother’s Day is this Sunday in the UK), then this elegant floral aldehyde of jasmine and rose notes with amber, incense and patchouli could well fit the bill. Created by Dominique Ropion, it’s described as ‘the essence of a dress, the silhouette that lingers after a woman has left the room’, sophisticated and feminine with a dry down of warm amber and vetiver.
Superstitious goes on global release on April 1st, but is available at Liberty now in 100ml eau de parfum (£230) HERE and 50ml (£158) HERE. There are also three 30ml travel-sized atomisers (£114) HERE.
