Beauty booty: gift ideas

Beauty gifts are my go-to solution when I’m stuck for ideas. They’re usually affordable, hopefully useful and I only go for things that I think are beautifully presented. So obviously anything Chanel is number one choice, even if it’s something mundane like these eyelash curlers…

Acqua Di Parma Colonia powder soap, £22
Acqua Di Parma is a delicious unisex fragrance and I love the idea of this unusual powder soap. As always, their packaging is great

Creme de la Mer lip balm, £40
I was lucky enought to be gifted this in a goody bag once and it was possibly the best lip balm I’ve ever used. The pot is quite big, it lasts ages, has a lovely consistency and a fresh minty scent

Chanel eyelash curlers, £24
Let’s face it, anything in monochrome with the Chanel logo on is going to be greeted with delight

Ralph Lauren Jamaica candle, £35
These delicious grapefruity candles don’t even need to be lit, I keep unlit ones on my desk and they’re just as intoxicating

NARS Kuroko Kabuki mini nail polish set, £25.00
This dinky set from NARS includes four mini–sized nail polishes based on shades traditionally used in Kabuki theatre.

Chanel Les Exclusifs Jersey eau de toilette, from £100
This is the first Chanel fragrance I’ve loved. It’s very soft and subtle, with a hint of lavender, plus of course it comes in a lovely minimalist Chanel bottle. As part of the Les Exclusifs range, it’s available from Chanel boutiques, Selfridges Oxford Street, House of Fraser Glasgow and Fenwick Newcastle

Aromatherapy Associates bath and shower oil collection, £53*
There’s nothing better on a winter evening than an Aromatherapy Associates bath. I was given one of these sets last Christmas and it’s lasted all year. (*If you use the above link, you can get £5 off when you spend £50 at Cult Beauty until Saturday. Enter XMAS50 at the checkout.) If you really want to splash out, you could also try this lovely idea (which I discovered on Get The Gloss). For £450, you can book a 60 minute consultation with AA’s co-founder Geraldine Howard at the Knightsbridge treatment room where a bespoke private blend will be created, complete with name engraved on bottle.
