In the last year I’ve become a bit of a cleansing fiend and I’ve accumulated quite a good cache of reliable cleansing balms, oils and creams. I still like to try new ones though, especially if they’re ones everyone’s raving about or I’m sent for review.

Way ahead of the see-now-buy-now curve, Moschino has a knack of knowing which elements of its buzzworthy collections to release first. Landing today, its #Itslit AW16 capsule collection of cigarette-themed pieces hits the shop floor just four days after first being seen on the runway. While all the fashion chatter of the last two weeks has revolved around the subjects of fashion week and fashion media and their relevance in the social media age, an interesting exhibition has opened at the National Portrait Gallery to slow the conversation right down. Vogue 100: A Century of Style is a celebration of 100 years of Vogue, the iconic print magazine whose images (photos and illustrations) continue to wield huge influence on style and culture.
Why go to an exhibition showing cult Vogue images when you can see them most any day flashing up on Instagram, Tumblr or Pinterest? The answer to me is simple. (more…)
What’s new at Margaret Howell for AW16? Lots actually. Shirt collars are super-pointy, winter shorts are a thing, there’s a crepe-soled brogue, and orange is the colour – in raffish crumpled silk. I also love the floppy neck bows and the ankle-grazing trouser length. Can I add that I have one of those slim black leather belts and I wear it with everything. If you buy nothing else, buy a Margaret Howell belt! (more…)
