I can’t get over Olympia Le Tan’s new line of limited edition clutches. In the style of a classic first-edition book cover, these boxy clutches are appliqued, embroidered, Liberty-print lined and bursting with charm. Due to land at Browns in time for Christmas…
What’s everyone up to this weekend? I’m supporting my favourite charity, Kids Company on Sunday morning by handing out leaflets for Gladrags & Handbags, a designer fashion sale in association with Harper’s Bazaar. If you fancy supporting the charity in an utterly selfish way (ie, shopping for yourself), then get yourself down to London on Friday, Saturday or Sunday. All the details are here.
Alternatively, go to the Really, Really Great Garage Sale, in the car park at Selfridges on Sunday 15th July and help support Kids Company as part of Mothers4Children.
There are boyfriend shirts and there are boyfriend shirts. On the one hand, you get the girl who throws on her boyfriend’s old Gap plaid shirt, half-tucked into her Current Elliots, with sleeves rolled up for Sunday afternoon slouching. On the other you have Carine Roitfeld.
The editor of French Vogue brings a whole new meaning to boyfriend shirt as she can literally wear her boyfriend’s shirts. Her boyfriend is Christian Restoin, the original creator of Equipment shirts (trademark style – loose cut, soft fabric, patch pockets) and soon we can wear Carine’s boyfriend’s shirts too as Equipment has now been relaunched for SS10.
Here’s a sneak peak of what to expect…
Equipment sheer blue leopard-print
Equipment workaday cotton stripes
Equipment day-to-night lace
What do we think…is Carine wearing an Equipment shirt here?*
