Ah, how I love an entertaining retail concept! Supermarket Sarah is a clever and quirky idea from Sarah Bagner who has set up shop in her front room. She merchandises her finds against a wall in her flat and puts the result online so shoppers can click and buy. The shop is also open by appointment accompanied by tea and cake and a cosy chat. As an exclusive for London Fashion Week, she has enlisted the eye of Fred Butler to guest-curate. The shop goes live during LFW but you can have a preview here:

At the risk of sounding chavvy (are we allowed to say chavvy?), I must make a confession. I am partial to Cadbury’s Milk Tray. I know it’s not sociably acceptable, I know it’s all about Green & Blacks these days, but I can’t help it, nothing makes me happier than a sugar-loaded caramel heart or a fudge dream (or preferably ten). Charbonnel & Walker champagne truffles and Rococo chocs come a close second but my heart really belongs to Cadburys. And what do you know but a kindly PR has been in touch to tempt me with something posher than Milk Tray. Not only do Cadbury’s KOKO truffles hit the sweet spot taste and texture-wise (I actually managed to sample these classy confections at Oasis’s Fashionably Late night with Wee Birdy and Make Do Style and I can vouch for their perfection), but PPQ have jumped on board to help promote them.
These silver-plated PPQ charm necklaces will be sold as a limited edition with special boxes of KOKO chocs for £20 at Selfridges in October. I usually find these gimmicky hook-ups leave much to be desired but I’m a sucker for the layered charm-necklace look, so I’m all in favour of these.
