In our very modern gender neutral society it seems silly to segregate men’s and womenswear. Yes our bodies have their differences but it seems there are more similarities. When it comes to casual wear – knitwear, tees, bombers, hoodies, Rick Owens-y tunics and the like, I think we can agree it’s fair to share.

I have been the lucky recipient of more than one of D’s hand-me-down Margiela jumpers, and his New & Lingwood navy socks frequently end up in my sock drawer. Then there are the scarves. But when it comes to toothpaste and bath stuff, we prefer to go our own way; he turns his nose up at my fancy orange blossom-flavoured toothpaste and I’m territorial about my Jo Malone bath oil. Maybe we do need some boundaries after all…
