Week 3 at Cocosa: Martin Grant and Sykes

This is my third week as guest editor of luxury flash sales site, Cocosa.com* and may be the best yet. Even better than the Mawi baubles, the Luella shades and the Basso & Brooke dresses are cheap-but-chic pickings from Martin Grant and Sykes. First, can we talk about Martin Grant? Specifically this Biba-ish silk jumpsuit? Surely a beauty for the black-tie circuit if ever there was one. Let’s face it, everyone’s doing the black bodycon sheath, the tuxedo and the slinky black gown but how many of these are you ever likely see? None I’ll wager. The price? £359 (available sizes UK 10, 12, 14).

Alternatively, there are demure bubble coats, immaculately-cut cocktail dresses and this sassy little red number (£259, available in sizes UK 10 and 16). It all goes on sale tomorrow at 12pm sharp.

Onto Sykes. Joanna Sykes, in case you don’t know, is the designer championing all things clean, serene and tailored just so. She is also the recently appointed design director of Aquascutum and creative director of Matches’ Freda line (of which Olivia Palermo is the ‘face’, should you care). Anyway, the important thing is, Cocosa is selling Sykes’ summer silks at super-competitive prices. There are silky T-shirts, T-shirt dresses and a playsuit or two (below, £125). On sale on Wednesday at midday – diarise, diarise, diarise. Or cry.
