As British Beauty Blogger likes to point out, beauty box sets aren’t just for giving away, they’re a good opportunity to try a new line or stock up on favourites at a more affordable price. Three recommendations I can make – Decleor, Aesop and Omorovicza.
Decleor sent me its Box of Secrets Beauty Powernap set (above and below), which I was very happy about as I’ve run out of my Aurabsolu Awakening Cream, still in my top 3 moisturisers. It also has a full size Aromessence Neroli (its excellent facial oil serum) and an Aroma 3in1 foam. The box costs £45 but the contents are worth £87.80. I like the facialists’ secrets tips that come on the box encouraging a few moments of facial massage or meditation. Buy it here.
There are also various other Decleor gift sets ranging from the Box of Secrets City Retreat (£39.90, worth 67.80, buy it here) to the Box of Secrets Merry Oils (£89.90, worth £113.80).
Aesop (below) has five varieties under the umbrella of Pursuit of Passions in kits featuring illustrations by Norwegian artist Bendik Kaltenborn. The Intrepid Gent box (£65) is perfect for the male beautyphile in your household and includes the Fabulous Face Cleanser, Moroccan Neroli Post-shave Lotion and Coriander Seed Body Cleanser. Buy it at Mankind and Mr Porter.
Omorovicza’s sets range from the Introductory kit (£69, also works well as a travel kit) to the very extravagant Blue Diamond set (£400) based on the Blue Diamond Super Cream that promises luminescence and radiance.
I like the sound of the Miracle Facial set (£80, below). It contains the Miracle Facial Oil that launched last year and promptly sold out, so they have brought it back as part of this kit with the signature Queen of Hungary Mist and the Illuminating Moisturiser. This set appears to be sold out everywhere but I’ve found some at Harvey Nichols here.
