1. GRENSON X NEW BALANCE REINVENT THE 576
The Grenson X New Balance men’s trainers that were unveiled at LCM get my tick of approval. They slightly remind me of when Hermes first did its ‘Quick’ trainer, an understated tan running shoe that was copied far and wide. I love that this is also a classic running shoe style; it’s my favourite 576 model reinvented in a rich Italian grade A calf-skin leather. (more…)

I’ve read two articles about Hedi Slimane this week. One is a very long interview by Dirk Standen on Yahoo Style, and the other is a critique by Alex Fury in The Independent. Both are very good but I had to disagree with Fury’s negative assessment of Slimane at Saint Laurent. (more…)
