Somehow, I have amassed quite the ridiculous number of Pinterest followers. Not sure how I made the magic million, but it could be the hours and hours I spend lost in a Pinterest vortex repinning photos of Chanel flatlays punk icons and hunting for the perfect gentlewomanly shoes.

Actually, I jest. While I do occasionally (ahem) indulge in aimless ‘pinning’, I’m usually using Pinterest for research purposes or in a strategic way to raise awareness of my site. (more…)

If you’re a fan of Chanel’s Vitalumiere foundations, last week saw some new updates. First, its Vitalumiere Fluid (top left), a very pleasant satin-finish liquid foundation, is now available in Beige 70 and Beige 80. I really like this foundation, it gives just enough coverage for my verging-on-dry skin and it’s good to see the range of shades expanding.

Next, just in time for the winter blahs is the new Chanel Vitalumiere Compact Douceur (top right), a light yet creamy powder base that adds luminosity to greige-looking skin. (more…)



Chanel’s Moiré nail lacquers arrive this week

Chanel’s moiré-effect nail colours are getting a lot of love and they’re not even out yet! Released this Friday, the Rose Moiré and Rouge Moiré lacquers (£18) are inspired by the texture more usually seen on wallpapers and textiles. The Rouge Moire is especially dramatic with its intense car paint sheen. Once on I guarantee you will not stop looking adoringly at your nails. (more…)
