Winter is a bitch isn’t it? I just can’t with these flat, grey, dark-by-3pm afternoons. The only thing that tempts me out of my bed – one duvet, four blankets, and two hot water bottles at last count – is the promise of a piping hot shower and invigorating scent-infused suds. My current saviour is the hair line by LA-based Playa.

I love how NARS Cosmetics comes up with clever but classic arty collaborations for its special collections. It never seems gimicky because the execution is always beautiful. (Remember the Sarah Moon collection?) This Man Ray for NARS Holiday collection is such a good choice with a mix of simple lip motifs and more statementy photo prints for the palettes. (more…)

A great hire by Estee Lauder, they have appointed French MUA, Violette (whose YouTube channel I’ll admit I hadn’t seen until now) as their Global Beauty Director.
