Each window houses Selfridges’ most popular beauty products in a dinky miniature size, including Shu Uemura Cleansing Oil, Lancôme Teint Miracle and Mini Juicy Tube, YSL Belle D’Opium, Kiehls Creme de Corps and Emporio Armani Diamonds. These sold out in double quick time last year so I really hope Selfridges has upped its order this year.

Bloggers may be stealing a march on celebs in the ‘face of’ stakes but you can’t beat a good old fashioned supermodel when it comes to a really slick campaign. Kurt Geiger has tapped Anja Rubik as the face of its campaign for AW11. The brand was recently bought by the US-based Jones Group who has clearly set its sights on international expansion. Despite my minimalist leanings I can’t deny we’re heading for a maximalist revival. Vintage Versace’s all the rage, Prada’s ‘pop baroque’ curlicues are all over the shop and the return of Ab Fab means ‘darling, it’s Lacroix’ can once again be an acceptable exclamation. (more…)
