Oh my nosiness knows no bounds. I love Into The Gloss for its snoops into the bathroom cabinets of fashiony women and now it’s been sniffing around the men’s grooming shelves too. Here’s W magazine’s Stefano Tonchi’s thoughts on his grooming routine (Hmmm, Only 6 products but still)…

Excitement in the bloggersphere is mounting as Tom Ford’s grooming samples finally drop in the laps of a few hand-selected bloggers. The Tom Ford For Men skincare line consists of cleanser, moisturiser, eye treatment, purifying mud mask, lip balm and a skin serum, plus bronzing gel and concealer stick. It all arrives on Tom Ford Beauty Color counters next month.

ACQUA DI PARMA COLLEZIONE BARBIERE INTRODUCES FACE AND EYE PRODUCTS

Despite the growth spurt in men embracing skincare and grooming, some brands are still playing it cool. Acqua Di Parma has just relaunched its Collezione Barbiere, a line of shaving products and accessories for recreating the traditional barbershop shaving ritual at home. The range now consists of shaving oil, aftershave balm, shaving creams (in both a tub and a tube) and a treatment scrub, all subtly scented so as not to invade other scents. Also added are an eye cream and a face cream – just don’t call them that. “No, we don’t call them face creams. They’re part of our shaving line”, insisted their rep. Acqua Di Parma Collezione Barbiere is available at Selfridges.

SHAY & BLUE ARRIVES AT FENWICK

Fenwick’s beauty department has had a massive revamp under the watch of Fashion and beauty director Adam Kelly and buying manager Mia Fenwick. Amongst the roster of beauty brands on board is Shay & Blue, a one-year-old fragrance line run by Dom Devetta (previously at Jo Malone and Chanel). Trying out the array of fragrances at the press preview, my standout was Sicilian Limes, a clean but sexy, slightly bitter citrus. It’s a refreshing cologne in the vein of Acqua di Parma that’s equally popular with men as women. The good news is that Fenwick has boosted its online beauty presence so you can buy it now here.

Meanwhile, Net-a-Porter and Mr Porter are also going full steam ahead with their beauty offer. At Mr Porter you can now buy goodies from Aesop, D R Harris, Le Labo and Malin & Goetz, along with your Charvet shirts and Bresciani socks. And obviously a lot of this stuff appeals to women too (in my case, that’ll be the Aesop coriander seed body cleanser). Coming in November is Officina Profumo Farmaceutica Di Santa Maria Novella, a sciency skincare line from the popular Florence pharmacy.
