London fashion week AW11: Ann-Sofie Back Atelje

Ann-Sofie Back’s gone all sophisticated! Her Atelje collection represented her grown up, polished side with echos of Helmut Lang and Martin Margiela – think spare tailoring with minimalist, clever details. I loved the satin tailored jackets with gold metal corners and lapels and sculpted metal half-belts that cinched in the waists of gauzy white tunics. And watch out for the accessories – the gold tubular theme continued in simple hair bands and seriously cool handbags with sculptural metal straps.

Props to the talented Shinobu Abe at CLM and the MAC team who created a suitably polished look with sheeny skin, softly defined brows and butterscotch gloss lips using Mac’s clear Gloss and lipliner in Plum.
