As LFW becomes ever busier, with shows, presentations, retail events and launches at Somerset House and beyond, sometimes help is needed to navigate the never-ending schedule. This season I’m working with Amex to experience all they have to offer at Fashion Week, which is where Amex Insiders come in.
Dotted around Somerset House, wardrobed in Jonathan Saunders (you can’t miss them, look out for the Saunders palette of primrose, turquoise and citrus green), or stationed at their special desk right next to the entrance of Somerset House, these all-knowing concierges are equipped to deal with any and every type of request. Not just confirming show times and directions to the nearest phone-charging point, but nitty gritty stuff like arranging transport and restaurant reservations, or giving recommendations to overseas press and buyers. Equipped with iPads and a whole back-end of staff and insider knowledge, the Amex Insiders promise to make Fashion Week that bit easier (and no, you don’t have to be an Amex Cardmember to use their service). I feel I’m going to get to know these Insiders very well this LFW….
