Glossybox X Wendy Rowe The Edit

GlossyBox Wendy Rowe edit

I don’t subscribe to any subscription boxes, it’s not like I don’t have enough make-up! But I do think they can be good for testing new brands and launches, plus who doesn’t love miniature products? I especially like all the collaboration boxes. This approach makes lots of sense and it must be so much fun to choose what gets included; I know British Beauty Blogger’s boxes with Latest In Beauty are hugely popular (heads-up: there are more coming next year).

Glossybox has one of the first subscription box services on the block and its Wendy Rowe box is outstanding. I knew it would be, I love what Wendy has done with Burberry Beauty (she is Burberry’s make-up artistic consultant) and I trust her choices. Having upped her game on social media and released her book Eat Beautiful, she seems to be priming her profile for something bigger, her own beauty brand perhaps? That wouldn’t surprise me in the least.

So here’s what’s in the Glossybox X Wendy Rowe ‘The Edit’ box that’s released on 14th November (£35 for subscribers and £40 for non-subscribers, plus P+P. Pre-order HERE).

Sisley Black Rose Cream Mask, 10ml
Rodin Face Oil, 2.5ml
Decléor Gommage 1000 Grains Body Scrub, 50ml
Decléor Aroma Confort Système Corps Moisturising Body Milk, 50ml
Decléor Aromessence Neroli Oil Serum, 5ml
Burberry Fresh Glow Luminous Fluid Base, 30ml
Burberry Lip Velvet in Military Red or Burberry Kisses in Nude Beige
Windle and Moodie Invisible Day and Night Cream, 60ml
Roloxin Lift Instant Skin Smoothing Masque, 3g sachet
Sarah Chapman Skinesis, SOS Spot Stickers

Of these, I’m looking forward to trying the Sarah Chapman Skinesis Spot Stickers, the Sisley Black Rose Cream Mask and the Decléor scrub. I love anything Decléor, I already have the Neroli Oil Serum and I can recommend it. Ditto Burberry, this is a full size Fresh Glow Luminous Fluid Base – that normally retails at £34 alone! As for the lipstick, it’s almost too cute to use but that would be a waste. Burberry lipsticks are great; in this box you get either the Lip Velvet in Military Red or Burberry Kisses in Nude Beige.

So what are Wendy’s favourites if she had to choose? I asked her a couple of pressing questions…

DRG: Which is the most multi-tasking product from your Glossybox and how do you use it?
WENDY ROWE: Burberry Fresh Glow. Its an absolute kit staple for me; sometimes I will use it underneath foundation, sometimes mixed with foundation and sometimes actually instead of foundation altogether. I also often use Fresh Glow on the body too – on the décolletage, legs, arms – anywhere I want to create a gorgeous glow to the skin. You can also use Fresh Glow on the eye lids to create a dewy feel, or just apply to certain areas of the skin like the Cupid’s bow, down the nose or on the cheekbones for a luminous highlight. It’s also a great anti-ageing product as it works to blur imperfections without being detectable.

DRG: What is the one skincare concern that you hear the most and which product in your Glossybox will help to remedy it?
WR: One of the most common skin concerns that I am faced with is dehydrated skin – especially at this time of year. Decleor’s Aromessence Neroli Oil Serum is amazing as it’s 100% natural and is a great product to press into the skin to boost hydration and to help nourish. I like to rub it between my hands and press it into the skin at night time; it’s great for areas of skin that are often a bit neglected like the décolletage, neck and hands and it’s great to use underneath sunblock in harsh weather conditions. It’s especially good if you’re going skiing.

The GlossyBox x Wendy Rowe ‘The Edit’ is released on 14th November on Glossybox.co.uk. As it’s limited edition, you’re advised to pre-order HERE.
