Am I the only person not to have seen ‘Call Me by Your Name’? This NYT profile of costume designer Giulia Piersanti (who is also a knitwear designer for brands like Céline and Balenciaga) is making me want to see it. I loved the Tilda Swindon costumes she did for director Luca Guadagnino’s 2015 masterpiece, ‘A Bigger Splash’.

Her next film with Guadagnino, ‘Suspiria’, features costumes made from scratch and includes dance leotards made by Piersanti’s aunt Laura Urbinati (whose lingerie I was obsessed with in the early 2000s). According to the article, there have been talks with Amazon to produce and sell the clothing as merch for the e-com site. Now wouldn’t that be genius…
