The DRG STYLE INDEX: GARETH PUGH, TIM COPPENS, GOSHA RUBCHINSKIY X ASOS, WOOD WOOD X CHAMPION

Here’s the latest weekly DRG STYLE INDEX ranking, a round-up of the brands currently buzzing on my radar…

1. TEN YEARS OF GARETH PUGH

Was it really ten years ago that Gareth Pugh first showed in London? It certainly was, and he’s marking the occasion by returning to show on the LFW schedule. There’s also a retrospective exhibition, showing at the Galleria Melissa store in Covent Garden from February 11th until May. I remember my first Pugh show very well, it was AW2006 with the harlequin outfits and gigantic balloons and was all sorts of fabulous (I filmed the finale video on my teeny weeny Casio pocket camera – I don’t think the iPhone had been invented yet). I’m really looking forward to seeing that fabulosity in London again.

2. TIM COPPENS WOMENSWEAR LANDS IN LONDON

Tim Coppens Exclusively at Harvey Nichols - Buckle detail Parka dress - £870

The Tim Coppens SS15 show was one of my favourites from New York Fashion Week and he has just brought his debut womenswear collection to London. Buy his elevated sport-luxe pieces exclusively at Harvey Nichols.

3. GOSHA RUBCHINSKIY FOR ASOS

Clever of ASOS to enlist menswear golden boy Gosha Rubchinskiy to shoot its SS15 look book. His rough-n-raw, skater-kid aesthetic translates well to the high street, while his very association adds a certain kudos.

4. WOOD WOOD X CHAMPION SELECT

Wood wood and Champion collaborate

Wood Wood is killing it with its collabs lately. I’ve always loved Champion and for this collaboration Wood Wood has given it a youthful spin with logo waistbands and crop ‘athleisure’ (are we still calling it that?) tops. I’ll be honest, I won’t be wearing the midriff-barers but the aertex dress is pretty cool. The Wood Wood X Champion Select collection is available exclusively in Europe at Wood Wood stores and Woodwood.dk.
