Next Thursday and Saturday I’ll be returning to my shop girl roots to take part in the Blogger Style Series event with Club Monaco and Browns. Browns was the boutique that every fashion obsessive worshipped when I was growing up in the late 80s – all the major (and minor-but-promising) labels were stocked there. Mrs Burstein’s talent-spotting eye wasn’t limited to designers either; both Mandi Lennard (PR and marketing maverick) and Yasmin Sewell (buyer extraordinaire) learnt their trades as Browns buyers before continuing on their stratospheric career paths.
As part of the Blogger Style Series event (kicked off by Liberty London Girl last week and continued by Susie Bubble in June), I’ll be on hand on Thursday 19th May (3-7pm) and Saturday 21st May (2-6pm) to
do my best Miss Brahms impression offer styling advice and generally play shop with the Club Monaco collection, part of Browns’ excellent Shop 24 concept store. Shop 24 is all about those trend-transcending wardrobe fundamentals and also stocks the likes of Acne, Carven and Zero Maria Cornejo, while Club Monaco has recently brought its American classic-with-a-contemporary-twist essentials to European shores with this exclusive Browns UK launch. Having studied the Club Monaco website in great detail, I can categorically say the collection is well worth investigating. Even Lauren Hutton’s raving about it.
Come and visit me on the 19th or 21st to find out how to incorporate a bit of Club Monaco into your wardrobe or simply swing by and say hi!
