THE DRG STYLE INDEX: CARTIER, MARI GIUDICELLI, LANVIN, PAUL SMITH, DOVER STREET MARKET

Here’s the latest weekly DRG STYLE INDEX ranking, a round-up of the brands currently buzzing on my radar…

1. CARTIER X SOFIA COPPOLA
Sofia Coppola for Cartier
If, like me, you feel like you haven’t seen enough of Sofia Coppola lately, Keep It Chic has news. Apparently, Sofia Coppola has teamed up with Cartier as a ‘friend of the brand’. Whatever that means, I think I’ll like it….

2. BOUCHRA JARRAR TO LANVIN

Bouchra Jarrar and CEO Michele Huiban Lanvin
Great to hear that Bouchra Jarrar has been confirmed as the new womenswear artistic director of Lanvin although at the loss of her own label. It will certainly be very different to Alber Elbaz’s Lanvin, but I’m a fan of this brilliant couturier so I’m excited to see what she brings. Her first collection will be for Resort 2016, unveiled in June.

3. PAUL SMITH BY BAILEY

Paul Smith david Bailey
Do yourself a favour and read the Paul Smith interview in the newly fashed-up ES magazine. Alongside Paul Flynn’s interview (in which Sir Paul gives all the credit for his success to his wife Pauline, and discusses gentrified London, shop floor drug dealing and menswear copycats), there’s a superb shoot by David Bailey.

4. DOVER STREET MARKET HAYMARKET IS IMMINENT

Dover street Market Haymarket
Only six more sleeps til the new Dover Street Market opens in London’s Haymarket. You can read a blow-by-blow account of the build on the Dover Street Market journal. New shop-in-shops will include Paul Smith, Gosha Rubchinskiy, Margaret Howell and Parisian beautyphile favourite, Buly 1803…

5. NEW NAME TO KNOW: MARI GIUDICELLI
