Reading list
I just wrote about some of my favourite fashion/pop culture books over on the Glamour Style Tribe blog. Have a read if you need some bookish inspiration…
Food meets fashion
Fashion-designer-nail-polish hook-ups are so last season. This LFW, former Fashion Fringe winner Corrie Nielsen is hooking up with Scoop gelateria to create a Corrie Nielsen ice cream flavour.
Florida born Nielsen’s gelato is an extra dark chocolate ‘with a hint of orange blossom from Paris’. Available during London Fashion week from Scoop stores in Covent Garden, South Kensington and Soho, the whole thing may sound a wee bit gimmicky but it’s rather fabulous nonetheless. I can’t remember who said food is the new fashion but food-fashion collabs might be start of something big. Now… what would a Disneyrollergirl gelato taste of?

1939 wedding on rollerskates
Jasper Conran (the company, not the man) saw this and tweeted it to me. Possibly the best thing I’ve seen this year so far…(click on the picture to watch the video)
Best buy: H&M socks

If you love the fine-rib-socks-and-wedges look for spring (as I do), then here’s a recommendation for you. H&M have the best socks on the high street. I’m still wearing the long ribbed fuchsia and grey socks I bought years ago and they have kept their shape, haven’t worn through at the heel or toe and – the best bit – don’t wriggle off your feet when you’re wearing boots. I dont actually wear wedges but I’ve just bought this pack of 2 silky ankle socks in porridge (to wear with my tan Church’s brogues) and rust (to clash with my emerald Kurt Geiger T-bars). And of course I couldn’t resist the wee plastic Minnie Mouse-shaped box as a(nother) knick knack holder for my desk…
First look: Marni Edition Winter 2012
I adore the styling on these new Marni Edition images. Individually I don’t know if these pieces would speak to me but mashed up together like this, my heart says YES!!!
Getting my Yayoi Kusama on
When will we get to see the fruits of the Yayoi Kusama and Louis Vuitton collaboration (which promises to be bigger than the Sprouse collab)? In preparation for the Yayoi Kusama retrospective at Tate Modern, I’ve unearthed my ancient dotty Converse and Goodenough tee. Maybe I need these Lulu & Co jeans as well?
PS: This is not a Yayoi Kusama for Louis Vuitton bag but… could it be an indication of what’s to come?

Guest post: Best menswear buys from Mr DRG
Living with a fellow of rather refined tastes means I get a lot of ‘why don’t you blog about this?’ emails. So I decided to ask D do write a guest post. After much scrolling through Mr Porter et al, he has picked his favourite menswear buys below, along with a line or two of commentary. Enjoy!
