If you haven’t seen the Postmodernism exhibition at the V&A yet, may I politely suggest you get a wiggle on as it ends in two weeks. I recommend that you go on a Friday evening when the V&A is open ’til 10pm. I went yesterday with Hips Like Boys at 6pm and we practically had the place to ourselves. Continue reading
I like coffee table books, especially photography ones, but I like books I can read too. This is a book I bought years ago that I often re-read. It’s full of advice snippets and interesting insights from Bruce Weber about his work process along with – of course – some beautiful and effortless-looking portrait photos. I like this quote on the back of the book… Continue reading
Did you have a lovely Christmas? I was lucky in that I managed to have a very quiet, spoilt Christmas at home (I like to be extremely lazy on Christmas day, it’s the one day when I can just lie around eating, reading and sleeping) and received some beautiful presents. Continue reading
Damn you COS, I go into the store seeking Christmas pressy inspiration and come out with another coat I don’t need and a pair of socks. But how could I resist? Top of my Spring-Summer 2012 fantasy shopping list is Chanel’s ‘package’ bag complete with chain ‘string’. Utterly impractical, utterly adorable. Alas, I don’t even know if it’s going into production. Continue reading
Booked your trip to the slopes for some post-Christmas posturing? Meh – me neither. But I will be poncing about the streets of NW10 in my Woolrich and aviators at the first chink of sunlight. You know I’m all about winter sunglasses and these folding Sunpocket Gold sunnies are speaking to me with their slightly seventies styling and 24 carat gold plated lenses (um, no idea what the benefit of gold lenses is but it sounds very fancy). Another selling point: they fold up and come in a dinky leather pouch. Available here.
