Marni for H&M launching March 2012! *VIDEO*
Just announced: Marni for H&M launching March 8th 2012 in 260 stores worldwide and online, including menwear, womenswear and accessories. This is surely perfect timing for Marni, whose signature prints are absolutely perfectly judged for the clashy print-colour mood of the moment. Continue reading
Quote of the day
“Kim Kardashian is real. That’s what girls look like today. It’s a very huge, cultural part of what is going on, and the ‘Real Housewives of Atlanta’, it’s a very big part of what we’re seeing…as important as Lady Gaga is to a 15-year-old. So all of these things, I take in. I’m not a snob going, ‘What’s that?’ because that is real. And that is how women want to look. It’s a very important style statement, and that will go into my library of style and I will take that somewhere.”

Jo Malone cologne miniatures

Britain’s favourite contemporary fragrance house, Jo Malone has surpassed itself with a host of unfaultable (is that a word?) gifty treats. I’ve just become addicted to the unisex Pomegranate Noir cologne which is sweet and spicy but not heavy and works beautifully as an all day fragrance. Continue reading
Valentino Garavani’s virtual museum

Farfetch X Sixby6 Bloggers – the shoe challenge

Blogger collabs are quite the thing now, aren’t they? I just had a call from a value retailer asking me to work with them but I don’t really do value fashion so had to pass, I think I may have even uttered the phrase ‘it’s not on brand’. Continue reading
Retail concept: Your Samples Collective
How’s this for a new type of sample sale? YSC (Your Samples Collective) aims to ‘put the simple statement back into people’s wardrobe with good reductions and product that you can rely on’. Translation? Non-seasonal pieces that you’ll keep on wearing, such as their debut sample sale from Wrangler.
I try to avoid samples sales as I seem to be that person who gets far too carried away and then regrets the unworn purchases a few weeks later. But this one looks like quite a good concept, provided the product is right. The sale is on Friday and Saturday and all the info is below. I might see you there!
